New Delhi: After the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad received a bomb threat couple of days ago, the Arun Jaitley cricket stadium on Friday received a similar bomb threat which later turned out to be hoax, it was confirmed by an official. Team of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and dog squad, along with the Delhi police teams were rushed to the stadium and the security was beefed up.
The bomb threat was sent to the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) via an email which was later forwarded to the Delhi Police which took necessary action. This comes in the aftermath of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan which started with terrorists killing 26 innocent people in Pahalgam, South Kashmir and Indian retaliating by striking the terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.
DDCA confirmed bomb threat via email
‘We received a bomb threat via email on the address of DDCA. We immediately forwarded it to Delhi Police. The Delhi Police bomb squad came and inspected the whole venue. Nothing was found,’ DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma told PTI.

Sources in the Delhi Police confirmed to news agency PTI that multiple teams were immediately rushed to the stadium and the location was checked thoroughly. Nothing suspicious was found in and around the stadium but still the security was stepped up in and around the area.
