New Delhi: Chelsea will be playing Liverpool after the international break, and it might not be the best news for the Blues as two of their players won’t be available. Nottingham Forest held the home team at bay with a well planned defence, and even though they were down to 10 men in the 78th minute, they managed to earn a thrilling 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. With 14 points from seven games, Chelsea, who had 66 percent of the ball possession in the match—remained in fourth place, while Forest was in tenth place.
Five minutes into the second half, a James Ward-Prowse free-kick found defender Nikola Milenkovic, who headed across for Chris Wood to tap it home, breaking the scoreless draw between the two teams in London. That goal gave the game momentum before Chelsea took advantage of a rare mistake in the Forest defence to equalize, with Noni Madueke reaching the bottom corner after grabbing a cross from Cole Palmer.

Chelsea left back, Marc Cucurella was shoved into Maresca in his technical area by Forest defender Neco Williams in the 88th minute of the game as the exciting clash broke out into a huge fight. The tempers went further up asfter a rage filled Levi Colwill leaped over the touchline to face the Welsh professional, as others also got involved which included members from the backroom staff, managers, and remaining substitutes of both the sides, as they all came onto the pitch, turning it into a mass brawl.
Jackson was one of the replacements; in the 81st minute, he was replaced by Christopher Nkunku, who seemed to smack Forest’s Morato based on viral video of the altercation. His teammates pulled him out of the situation shortly after it happened, and there was a loud argument among the others.

Although Nicolas Jackson managed to avoid a booking, referee Chris Kavanagh startled Cucurella by showing him the yellow card. Colwill and Neco Williams were also booked in that process for getting involved. Welsey Fofana of Chelsea was given a yellow card shortly after taking down Jota Silva, the replacement. Cucurella and Fofana are expected to miss Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool following the international break, according to the twin bookings for the team.
