Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu: Priority to bring down airfares, make air travel affordable

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu took charge as Minister of Civil Aviation in New Delhi on Thursday.

Speaking to news agency ANI, he stated that he would be willing to sit with stakeholders to review surging plane ticket prices to make air travel more affordable for ordinary citizens of the country.

“My whole intention is to make air travel reach to the common man. To make this a reality, prices have to be affordable. Whenever we sit down, my priority would be to bring down the prices,” he said.

He further said that he has a lot of goals besides taking old initiatives forward. “In 2014, Ashoka Gajapathi Raju was in charge of the same department. He laid foundation for many things. Bhogapuram Airport will be completed in record time. There is a demand to increase connectivity to Vijayawada and Tirupati airports. Let’s make AP the best model for civil aviation.”
