Other records?
Ronaldo set yet another international football record in the last November of last year when Portugal crushed Poland 5-1 and CR7 scored twice. With 132 international victories, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner surpassed the mark previously held by his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos.
Ronaldo is also the first player to achieve 100 goals milestone in the UEFA Champions League. Not just that he is also the most-followed guy on Instagram and the player with the most goals in international football all of which also hold Guinness World Records.
The Portuguese star missed a penalty kick in the early half of the match against Denmark so he didn’t celebrate his most recent award win in style but Ronaldo did make amends when he scored in the second half of the game to tie the scoreline as Portugal thrashed Denmark 5-2 on aggregate.
Ronaldo made his debut in August 2003 and has been playing for his country for more than 20 years. With 132 goals in 217 appearances, he is the all-time top scorer in men’s international football and hopes to participate in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ronaldo will be seen next in action for Portugal in June when they will face Germany in the semi-final of the competition as the Al-Nassr forward will look to add the second Nations League trophy to his glittering career.
