New Delhi: There’s nothing that can stop Cristiano Ronaldo from finding the back of the net this season as he helps his side yet again with two goal involvements for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. During Al Nassr’s game against Al-Raed, Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 35th minute with an exceptional right-footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner from Marcelo Brozovic’s cross from a free kick.
Ronaldo was denied once in the game as well but had already made a solid impact of his opposition. The goal puts him ahead of Karim Benzema by two goals.
The 39-year-old has been the highest goal-scorer this season as he scored his 15th goal in the tournament. After the break, Nawaf Al-Boushail doubled Al Nassr’s effort scoring with a right-footed shot from the left side of the box, this time Ronaldo making the assist. It was the Portuguese captain’s third assist in the season.

Al Nassr in Saudi Pro League
Despite performing well consistently, Al Nassr are placed third in the league, five points behind leaders Al-Hilal. Despite his best efforts, Ronaldo has yet to win the Saudi Pro League title in the last two years. This season, in 23 games across competitions, he has scored 20 times already. The former Real Madrid forward last season had scored 50 goals across the competition and bagged the Golden Boot in the Saudi Pro League with 35 goals from 31 games, with Aleksandar Mitrovic seven goals behind the Portugal legend.
The goal in the game marked Ronaldo’s 921st career goal, leading the goal charts, with Argentina’s Lionel Messi’s 850 career goals coming closest to him. In September 2024, Ronaldo became the first player ever to score 900 goals. With 135 goals for Portugal, Ronaldo also has the highest number of goals in the international arena.
In the game, Amir Sayoud scored in the 76th minute, with the scorecard reading 2-1 as Al Nassr took an important victory of the season in front of King Abdullah Sports City in Buraidah.
