Yadav revealed that his admiration for the club began during Jürgen Klopp’s tenure, praising the manager for his leadership and high-energy football. Kuldeep Yadav described Gerrard as a player who defined Liverpool for years, leading the team through difficult periods while still delivering world-class performances. The former Liverpool captain made 504 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 120 goals and providing countless unforgettable moments. His leadership in the 2005 UEFA Champions League final, where Liverpool pulled off a historic comeback against AC Milan, remains one of the greatest nights in the club’s history.
While Indian left-handed spinner recognised Mohamed Salah’s contributions, including his role in winning the 2019-20 Premier League title and his goal-scoring records, he still believes Gerrard’s influence on Liverpool is greater. “Salah is amazing, but no one comes close to Gerrard,” he said during the podcast.
