Portugal managed to put up a wonderful team performance, where the players showed great maturity and urgency on the pitch. Then came the moment that every Portuguese fan was waiting for as Ronaldo tapped in the second goal after Rafael Leao’s unbelievable run and attempt that eventually cannoned against the post in the 37th minute of the game. With 12 minutes left to play, Piotr Zielinski put the visitors in a nerve wracking situation by beating Diogo Costa to make it 2-1 and give the Polish fans some hope, but Jan Bednarek’s own goal in the 88th minute ended up winning it for Roberto Martinez’s side.
Portugal managed to sink Poland, 3-1 as they continued their dominant run, where they have managed to win all three of their group games so far.
