New Delhi: Pakistan set a 242-run target for India in the Group A clash of the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, February 23. Everyone wants to witness the mega clash live as celebrities from all fraternities gather in Dubai to watch ‘the mother all battles.
Cricketing stars such as Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Shahid Afridi, Imad Wasim and Brett Lee were in attendance to watch the match and they were accompanied by celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja, Avneet Kaur, Atif Aslam, Sukumar and Chiranjeevi.
Bumrah, who was ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to a back injury was present at Dubai International Stadium to collect the ICC awards which he won last year. The star India fast bowler won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for men’s cricketer of the year 2024 and was also named the test cricketer of the year 2024.

Indian bowlers restrict Pakistan to 241 runs
The Indian bowlers did an exceptional job and bowled Pakistan all out for 241 runs in the 49.4 overs. Saud Shakeel scored a half-century and Khushdil Shah’s cameo helped Pakistan to post a formidable total on the board. Babar Azam played a few good shots but failed to carry on and convert his good start. Rizwan and Shakeel forged a crucial 104-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Indian spinners kept taking wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs which triggered a mini batting collapse in Pakistan’s batting line-up. Kuldeep took 3 wickets and completed his 300 wickets in international cricket while Hardik Pandya also took two wickets. Rohit and Co. will look to book a place in the semifinal by defeating the hosts.
On the other side, Pakistan will look to keep their Champions Trophy campaign alive. Chasing the target of 242 runs, Shaheen Afridi removed Rohit Sharma on 20 runs and Abrar Ahmed dismissed Shubman Gill on 46 runs. Virat Kohli became the fastest to score 14,000 runs in ODI cricket and also completed his fifty in the match.
