Dwaine Pretorious demolishes Mohammed Amir in last over to bag thrilling win in CPL – Watch

New Delhi: Dwaine Pretorious was at his best during a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 encounter as he unleashed his beast mode to bag a sensational victory for his team. The Guyana Amazon Warriors snatched a sensational victory from the jaws of defeat as Pretorius played a heroic knock.

The lethal batter hammered Antigua and Barbuda Falcons bowler Mohammed Amir to help Warriors secure a 3-wicket win. Pretorious hammered Amir for three fours and a six in the final over after they made a slow start in the chase. Pretorius displayed exceptional skill, composure, and power and with 16 runs needed off the last over, he managed to get them through.

After the first ball which was a dot, Pretorious smashed three boundaries in the next four balls with his excellent ability to find gaps between the fielders. Pressure started piling up as off the last ball, Warriors needed a four to win the encounter. Pretorius launched the ball over the boundary becoming the hero for the team.

Earlier, chasing 169 for win, the Warriors started off slow as the early dismissal from Gudakesh Motie dented the plan but Rahmanullah Gurbaz came up as a saviour as his sensational innings provided a boost to the chase. However, after smashing couple of powerful sixes, his innings came to an end and the side found themselves struggling at 68/3 at the halfway stage. Shimron Hetmyer after few good hits collapsed for 19 runs. Keemo Paul and Shai Hope‘s cameos, including a six apiece, provided some hope for the Warriors.
