In a similar incident, a wild elephant was seen eating rice bran, along with the plastic bag, after breaking open the storeroom attached to a cowshed in the same district.

A wild elephant nicknamed ‘Bahubali’ makes his routine crossing of a human habitation at Samayapuram near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district. The tusker, with no history of attacking people, uses a stretch of about 300 meters through the village for daily crossing.
