New Delhi: Australia’s middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne picked up three wickets in the first ODI match against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. He dismissed Ben Duckett, skipper Harry Brook and Jofra Archer on a pitch that was good for batting.
After the wicket of Phil Salt, Will Jacks and Duckett stitched a 120-run partnership for the third wicket. Both batters smashed the Australian pace attack for plenty of runs and skipper Mitchell Marsh had to turn to his spinners to restrict England from getting a big total on the scoreboard.
Labuschagne dismissed Duckett who was just five runs away from scoring his second ODI century. He bowled a slow googly that pitched on the middle and Duckett tried to clip it away but ended up getting a leading edge and Labuschagne took an easy catch.
