Bellingham’s goal was timed at 94 minutes and 34 seconds and England’s most recent ever in normal time at the European Championship. The goal was also England’s maiden strike on target in the game. It was swiftly followed by a goal from Kane to put England 2-1 up, earning them a dramatic victory to lead them into the last eights.
England vs Switzerland in quarter-final
There might be a major concern for the Three Lions on the road ahead as they will be without defender Marc Guehi for the quarter-final due to suspension. Their manager Gareth Southgate will be forced into a change with Guehi and may also find some other changes to bring in. The victory over Slovakia has booked England a quarter-final clash against Switzerland who come into the game after upsetting Euro 2020 winners Italy with a well-deserved 2-0 win. The match will be played in Dusseldorf on Saturday.
