New Delhi: Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy scripted a fairytale ending for himself by scoring his 200th goal for the club in his final appearances for the Foxes in their Premier League clash against Ipswich Town on Sunday. Playing his 500th and the last game for the club, Vardy produced a brilliant finish in the 28th minute to put the hosts ahead at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.
Vardy, a Leicester City legend, had earlier announced that he would be leaving the club after making his final appearance against Ipswich Town at home, drawing curtains on an illustrious career with the Foxes. The ace striker was looking to sign off in style, searching for his 200th goal for the club, and he managed to achieve it in style.
In a fairytale script, Vardy got on the end of a magnificent assist from James Justin to run past the Ipswich defence and slot the ball to the right of goalkeeper Alex Palmer to score his 200th goal for Leicester City. The King Power Stadium erupted in jubilation as Vardy celebrated passionately in his trademark style after slotting it home.
