New Delhi: A pitch invader managed to breach the security at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during the first session on Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test between India and Australia. The invader dodged the security officials and ran towards Rohit Sharma initially but diverted his attention towards Virat Kohli and tried to hug him.
The former Indian captain wrapped his arm around the invader before the security personnel intercepted the intruder and escorted him off the field. The fan was seen sporting a Free Ukraine shirt. The incident caused a short delay in the match. Rohit and Kohli were clearly unhappy at the turn of events.
