New Delhi: Four-time WWE champion Alberto Del Rio appears to have landed in hot water, yet again! According to a report, the former WWE star has been slapped with a six-month suspension. The Mexican wrestler, who is a two-time World Heavyweight champion, is currently experiencing a late-career boom in the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA).
Going through several legal battles over the years, the veteran wrestler seems to have hit another bump on the road. According to a Sportskeeda report based on a viral tweet, the Tijuana Wrestling Commission has suspended Alberto Del Rio for six months because on Friday, he was allegedly involved in an incident with fans at the AAA wrestling.
An “X” (formerly Twitter) user by the username @RobViper posted a long thread on Wednesday, detailing the incident. The account wrote that the Tijuana commission has suspended Del Rio for six months for his involvement with the AAA crowd.
The Tijuana commission (headed by Damian 666) suspended Alberto Del Rio for 180 days (~6 months) for his role in an incident on Friday at the Auditorio. AAA has 2 TV tapings coming up in Baja California but those are in Ensenada & Rosarito so I don’t think (?) it effects those.

What exactly happened?
There are two different tapes making rounds, and although the Twitter user says that he hasn’t seen the full match, he says that Alberto appears heated at someone in the crowd after the match, in one of the clips. He further detailed the incident saying Alberto tried to hop the guardrail and even threw a chair before the security intervened.
This started a kind of chair fight between people as another fan was seen throwing a chair towards Alberto, which hit him on the head. Another sub-story claims that an old lady got hit during this ruckus and ended up in the hospital.
Nonetheless, the former world champion is yet to make a comment on the situation, and it would be interesting to see what his future will be at the AAA.
