French President Emmanuel Macron met with Portugal’s Prime Minister Luís Montenegro for a working lunch in Paris on Thursday.
The two are set to discuss the European Union’s agenda ahead of next week’s EU Council meeting, Macron said.
“We will have to look at our priorities in geopolitical, strategic, military, technological and economic terms, a more sovereign Europe, a Europe of decarbonization, a Europe that also protects its borders, that knows how to help its allies, and that also builds stability for all our compatriots,” Macron added.
