Novak Djokovic
The Serbian giant would be chasing his 25th Grand Slam title and his 11th Australian Open crown when he begins his quest at the Melbourne Park. Even at the age of 37, Djokovic cannot be written off the books at the blue hardcourts, where he has enjoyed a lot of success. Currently ranked seventh in the world, the Serbian has been handed a tough draw where a potential meet up with Spanish sensation Carlos Alacaraz in quarterfinals could be his biggest hurdle in the event. With some aid from his new coach Andy Murray, he could very well claim his 100th career title.
Carlos Alcaraz
At the age of just 21, Alcaraz has given tough competition to some of the fiercest competitors in the world of tennis. The Spanish sensation already owns four Grand Slam titles including the French Open and the Wimbledon in the last year. In Melbourne though, he is yet to cross the quarterfinal hurdle on his previous three visits, crashing in the last-8 stage. The youngest man to claim the three other majors, Alcaraz would be aiming to complete a career Grand Slam in Australia.
Jannik Sinner
The Italian tennis star, who’s currently ranked number one, bagged his maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open last year. He beat Daniil Medvedev in the event finale to establish himself as the number one player. The year 2024 has been quite bright for him as he has claimed as many as eight titles, including his second major at the US Open and storming the semifinals at French Open and Wimbledon. He also led Italy to a successful defence at the Davis Cup last year.
Alexander Zverev

The German tennis player would be aiming to secure a title victory when he begins his battle at the Melbourne Park. Zverev has been a two-time semi-finalist in Australia, including in the last season when he went down against Daniil Medvedev.
Daniil Medvedev
The fierce Russian tennis player though failed to bag a title last year but has a record of doing well at the season-opening Grand Slam. The 2021 US Open champion, who is currently ranked number five in the world, would be looking for his second major at the Australian Open.
