New Delhi: India D skipper Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for a seven-ball duck in the first innings against India A in the Duleep Trophy 2024 second-round match at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur on Friday, September 13.
He faced seven deliveries and was dismissed by left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed. India A scored 290 runs in the first innings and picked up four early wickets of India D batters in the first session on Friday.
The Mumbai batter walked out to bat wearing sunglasses tucked inside his helmet. A lot was expected from the skipper but he was troubled a lot by Khaleel Ahmed who bowled several short deliveries before taking his wicket with a fuller bowl.
The Mumbai batter left the short deliveries well but was positioned too deep inside the crease for a fuller delivery. He drove the ball but was caught at mid-on by Aaqib Khan. India D lost two quick wickets inside the first three overs.

Devdutt Padikkal scored his half-century and he tried to stitch a partnership with Yash Dubey and Ricky Bhui but both batters lost their wicket after getting a good start. Sanju Samson walked in at No. 5 and only managed to score just five runs off six deliveries.
