A case of murder of a wife for Rs 50 lakh insurance money has come to light in Lucknow. The case was revealed during the reinvestigation of the case on the suspicion of the insurance company during the claim process.
A sensational case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. A youth from Kanchanpur Matiyari in Chinhat got married as part of a conspiracy. Then he financed six vehicles including four cars in his wife’s name. He took a Mudra loan of 10 lakhs and also got his wife’s insurance of Rs 50 lakhs.
In order to grab the insurance money and get rid of the loan of the financed vehicles, the young man, along with his father and four friends, crushed his wife with the car, so that the murder could look like an accident.
This is what happened, but due to the vigilance of the insurance company, after one and a quarter years, Chinhat police exposed the conspiracy of the accused and arrested three of them on Tuesday.
All three accused were sent to jail. The woman’s husband, father-in-law and another accused Abhishek Shukla of Pratapgarh have fled.
DCP East Shashank Singh said that on May 20, 2023, the police received information about the death of Pooja Yadav (28) in an accident in Radhapuram, Matiyari. The car driver Deepak Verma, a resident of Indiranagar Sector 12, was caught on the spot.
The police took action in the accident. Some time ago, Pooja’s husband Abhishek made a claim for the insurance money.
During the investigation, the company got suspicious and informed the police. During the second investigation, it came to light that Abhishek and his father Ram Milan had got Pooja murdered.
