Harleen plays exquisite cricketing shots
Post the dismissal of the powerful Mandhana, Harleen Deol came into play and lit the cricket ground in Vadodara with her powerful shots, which were full of excellence. Deol’s maiden century (115) came off just 103 deliveries and was laced with as many as 18 boundaries. While the majority of the scoring was done by these three Indian batters, Jemimah Rodrigues also joined the show slamming a fiery half-century.
Rodrigues hit 52 quick runs off just 36 deliveries which included 6 boundaries and a lone maximum. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur could add just 22 runs while Richa Ghosh remained unbeaten on 13 as India reached a gigantic total. For West Indies, Afy Fletcher, Qiana Joseph, Deandra Dottin, and Zaida James claimed a wicket each. India women would be aiming for a series win in this game after they devastated the visitors by 211 runs in the series opener at the same venue. For the West Indies, the aim would be to notch up a win in the high-scoring encounter especially after going down in the T20I series 1-2.
