New Delhi: If you are an EPF subscriber, then as per the government rules, 12 per cent of the basic salary plus Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees is added to the PF account of the employee. The employer has to make an equal 12 per cent contribution towards the PF of employees. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides interest every year upon the EPF amount to the members.
The EPF members can view their passbook comfortably online. There are various ways to check the balance in the PF passbook. The EPFO allocates a Universal Account Number (UAN) to every PF account holder. The Universal Account Number is mandatory to view and download the EPF passbook.
How to download UAN Passbook
Open EPF website and click on ‘e-Passbook’ option
The applicant should enter UAN number, password, captcha
Next step is to click on ‘Sign In’ button
Now, click on ‘Passbook’ option
The Member ID and PF details will appear on the screen
Clicking on the ‘Download as PDF’ option for a printout

Download the UMANG app from Google Play Store or App Store.
The EPF member needs to select the EPFO option listed under ‘All SC
Click on the ‘Social Security’ option
Under ‘Employee Centric Service’, click on ‘ View Passbook’.
Enter your UAN to get an OTP on your registered mobile number
Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Submit’ button
Member IDs of all EPF accounts linked to UAN will appear
Click on the EPF Member ID for which you want to view and download the EPF passbook
