Hyderabad: A 28-year-old man has been stabbed to death in Balapur area of the city on Thursday night, reports said.
The man identified as Syed Sameer, was chased, attacked and stabbed multiple times by a group of unknown individuals in Royal Colony, Balapur, a viral video of the incident showed.
The man who worked as a decorator in Baba Nagar, Champapet and was returning from work the tragic incident occurred. The video showed the attackers thrashing and assaulting him after as several people walked by.
Balapur police said that he could have been stabbed after an argument with people who were known to him.
An FIR has been registered and investigation is underway. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Footage from CCTV cameras is being verified to identify the killers.
Meanwhile, BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala hit out at the Congress for law & order being in doldrums since the party took charge in the state in December.
