New Delhi: Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya held on to his number 1 spot in the latest ICC T20I all-rounders’ rankings with 252 points, ahead of Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee (233 points) and Australia’s Marcus Stoinis, who is at the 3rd spot with 210 points. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma (829 points) and Varun Chakaravarthy(706 points) retained their career-best second positions in the batting and bowling rankings, respectively.

Batting Rankings

The batting rankings have been ruled by the opening batsman in recent times. Australia’s destructive opener Travis Head remains the top-ranked T20I batter with 856 rating points, followed by Abhishek Sharma (829) and England’s Phil Salt (815). Indian middle-order batters Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav occupy the fourth (804 points) and fifth (739 points) positions, respectively.

Bowling Rankings

The bowlers’ rankings are heavily dominated by the spinners with all of the top 5 bowlers being spinners. West Indies’ powerplay specialist and left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein leads the bowlers’ rankings with 707 points, closely followed by Varun Chakaravarthy (706) at number 2. England’s Adil Rashid (705), Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga (700) and Australia’s Adam Zampa (694) complete the top five. India’s Ravi Bishnoi is ranked sixth with 674 points, while left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is ninth with 653 points.

Since the Men in Blue did not play any international T20 game after the five-match home series against England during January-February, Indian players have largely maintained their positions in the rankings.

New Zealand players have witnessed a significant rise in the rankings following their strong performances against Pakistan in the ongoing T20I series. Opening batsman Tim Seifert and Finn Allen helped their team to secure a 2-0 lead in the five match series. Both the batsmen played a key role in the run chase as they provided explosive starts in both the games.

Seifert, who scored 44 off 29 in the first match and 45 off 22 in the second, has jumped 20 places to 13th in the batting rankings. Allen has also climbed eight spots to the 18th after scoring 29* and 38 in the two games.

Team India star Hardik Pandya held on to his top spot in the all-rounders rankings while Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakaravarthy maintained their career-best positions in the latest ICC T20I rankings.  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
