New Delhi: The highly anticipated ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is set to begin on October 3 in the UAE. The journey to the tournament has officially started with the launch of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Trophy Tour. The Trophy Tour made its mark in Dubai with a stunning showcase where the trophy was paraded through the city’s most iconic and amazing landmarks on 3 September. The tournament’s opening match will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The trophy tour started with the 24-hour journey across Dubai’s memorable stops at beautiful locations such as Half Desert Dubai, Dubai Frame, Museum of the Future, and the Dubai Sunrise. The stunning start of the trophy set the tone for the most exciting edition of the tournament.
After Dubai, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Trophy will land in Bengaluru (India) on 6 September at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC). Fans will get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the trophy at Nexus Mall in Bengaluru on 7 and 8 September and at Infinity Mall in Malad (Mumbai) on 14 and 15 September.
After the India tour, the Trophy Tour will continue its journey to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. After that, the trophy will return to UAE for the opening of the tournament.
