Hyderabad: Very heavy rain is likely to occur at some places in Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda while heavy rain, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, gusty winds is likely in several other districts including in Hyderabad.
An orange alert is issued for Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Nirmal, Khammam districts on July 16, 19, 20. The weather department issued a yellow alert for July 17, 18, 21.

Andhra Pradesh rain:
In Andhra Pradesh, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at some places over North coastal AP, Yanam, Rayalseema, South coastal AP. Heavy rain is likely to occur in Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Eluru, Kurnool, Anantapur, Sri Satyasai, Annamaiya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts. Strong surface winds with speed 30-40 kmph are likely too.
A low pressure area has formed over Northwest adjoining West central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha coast and extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over West Central and adjoining Northwest of Bay of Bengal on July 19.
