New Delhi: The Civil Aviation Ministry has given the green signal to Shankh Air, India’s newest airline. The nod from the central government marked a significant milestone for the airline, which is eyeing the growing aviation market.
After the ministry’s clearance, Shankh Air has to get a clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for officially operating flights.
Shankh Air will begin its flight operations from two cities of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow and Noida. According to the company’s website, the airline has plans to focus on introducing competitive ticket price, twin-class offerings, technological integration and customer centric service with focus on “On-Time Performance and High Dispatch Reliability for Tier II & Tier III cities which has become the Main feeder for all Metro Airports”.
