New Delhi: Indian players have risen high in the latest T20I rankings released after a stupendous show against Bangladesh in the series opener in Gwalior. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side produced a sensational performance to bag a 7-wicket win in the first T20I on Sunday. Talking about the performance, Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy stood out for Team India in the contest.
Arshdeep, who produced a match-winning spell with 3 wickets gained as many as 8 positions in the latest T20I rankings for bowlers, to take the 8th spot on the bowling charts. The left-arm pacer leapfrogged Ravi Bishnoi, who now stands on the 12th position in the bowling list. He has become the highest-ranked T20I bowler from the Indian side with a career-best ranking of 642 points.
Hardik Pandya shines in rankings
Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who mesmerised the audience with a 16-ball 39-run knock and also took a solitary wicket has also made a jump in the rankings. Hardik has climbed four spots in the the all-rounders rankings and now holds the 3rd position, only behind Dipendra Singh and Liam Livingstone. Hardik’s T20I all-rounder’s rating is 216 and is eyeing his career-best rating of 266 against West Indies in 2023.

Experienced spinner Washington Sundar has gained four places to take the 35th spot while seasoned spin bowler Adil Rashid continues to hold the first position on the list. No other Indian player is ranked in the top-10 in the all-rounder’s list with Axar Patel taking up the 11th spot.
