Indian shooting squad at Paris Olympics: All you need to know about rifle, pistol and shotgun squad

New Delhi: Indian shooting team are going with a record of 21 players contingent in Paris Olympics 2024. Their campaign will begin on the first day of the Olympics July 26. Shooting has always been a hope for Indian fans to see their players winning golry at the Olympics because of what Abhinav Bindra did in 2008, he won India’s first gold medal in an individual sport in the history of the Olympics.

It all started with Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore who won a silver medal in the Men’s double trap event at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and turned the fortunes of Indian shooters in the Olympics.

India have secured a total of four medals in shooting in Olympic history Rajyardhan started the glory which was carried by Bindra’s Gold medal in 2008 and later Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang won Silver and Bronze medals respectively in the London Olympics 2012.

Indian Squad for Shooting at Paris Olympics:

Manu Bhaker will be a shooter to watch out for India, apart from her Sift Kaur Samra will be a medal contender for India, she won a gold medal at the Asian Games in 2023 with a world record in the finals. A 19-year-old shooter Esha Singh will be an underdog, she won four medals at the Asian Games last year.
