Infuriated and enraged, man fires at woman’s house after she withdraw from marriage
Malappuram: Infuriated after a women decided to withdraw from the marriage, a man in Malappuram fired at her house damaging the window panes of her house.
The incident was reported in Kottakkal, Malappuram district during the late hours of Tuesday. The man named Abu Thwahir was taken into custody soon after the incident where he fired using an air gun at women’s house.
More than four members were present in the house when the firing took place. Thankfully, all the family members escaped unhurt.
The house that was targeted by Abu Thwahir belonged to Ibrahim who was living with his wife, children and extended family members when the strange incident took place. Three rounds of firing took place on Tuesday night.
“We heard a loud sound yesterday night and initially we couldn’t understand what went wrong. Then we came to know that the window panes were damaged. However, no one was injured in the firing. My family members are shocked and couldn’t believe that he had fired at our house”, said Ibrahim to TV9.
An investigation has begun which is headed by the Kottakkal police inspector who had arrived at the place soon after the incident.
The women’s neighbors who heard the commotion caught Thwahir and handed him over to the police. Sources from Kottakkal say that the women’s family had to withdraw from the marriage after they suspected something unusual and amiss in his behavior.
Incidents of shooting has been on the rise in Kerala where a latest of such similar incident taking place in Ernakulam city where a customer fired at three bar employees after they tried to stop a verbal altercation between the inebriated customer and the manager of the bar. The customer who fired at the employees using an air gun fled the spot before the cops reached the location.
