New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni achieved a huge milestone in T20s during his side’s clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday, May 20. Dhoni became only the fourth Indian batter to complete 350 sixes in T20 cricket. The legendary wicket-keeper batter was only one big hit away from completing the milestone.
Dhoni walked out at no.8 amid loud cheers from the crowd in the 14th over of CSK’s innings and was expected to help the Men in Yellow finish strongly to post a big total in the game. However, the CSK skipper struggled to hit the big shots and could manage only 16 off 17 balls with the help of a solitary six. However, one six was enough to help Dhoni complete 350 sixes in T20s.
The legendary wicket-keeper batter became only the fourth Indian after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to achieve the feat. Rohit holds the record for the most sixes by an Indian in T20s with 542 sixes in 459 T20s. Kohli is in the second spot, having smashed 434 sixes in 410 T20 matches, followed by Suryakumar, who has 368 sixes to his name in 321 matches.
