New Delhi: Punjab Kings (PBKS) have signed 6ft 8in New Zealand star Kyle Jamieson as a replacement for his compatriot Lockie Ferguson for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. After a one-week halt due to the India-Pakistan military conflict, IPL will resume on May 17 with a mouthwatering clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Punjab will resume their campaign on May 18, Sunday, against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. Ahead of the clash against the Royals, who have been knocked out of the play-offs race, Jamieson will join the PBKS squad.
He joins the third-placed team for Rs 2 crore.
Ferguson has been out injured since pulling his hamstring in a league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Uppal last month. Ferguson was sold to PBKS in the IPL 2025 mega auction last year for a price of Rs 2 crore. The tearaway quick was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the 2025 IPL auction.
