New Delhi: UFC’s biggest superstar Conor McGregor was involved in a rash driving back in 2022 when he was driving his car at more than 160 km/h. McGregor has escaped from a prison sentence as he was dangerously driving in the streets of Dublin, Ireland.
McGregor was involved in breaking the red light, weaving through traffic at high speed, and nearly causing an accident, A police officer saw that incident chased McGregor’s car, and asked him to come out from his Bentley Continental GT convertible on March 22, 2022. When the police officer asked some questions he replied “Are you taking the p***?”
Later a case was filed against McGregor and his court appearance was on August 1, 2024. The Judge gave a verdict of five months suspended sentence’ which means if McGregor had been involved in any crime during these five months then he would be behind the bars. Also, the Judge gave him a suspension of driving for two years and imposed a total fine of 5,000 Euros.
McGregor was also charged with two times of dangerous driving as he was driving without insurance, or a license and also failed to submit the documents within 10 days of remand. he was caught multiple times with careless driving and without documents.
This time also when he was caught on March 22, 2022 evening, the officer was forcefully asked at least six times to get him out of his car.
Conor McGregor has been out of action for three years
McGregor was also out of action from his professional MMA career, he last fought against Dustin Poirier on July 11, 2021, and also that night, he broke his leg and now recovering from that injury from the last three years. He was officially planned to fight in UFC 303 against Michael Chandler but pulled out from the event with his leg injury, According to reports he will set to fight in October 2024 against Chandler.
