New Delhi: Indian cricket fans felt elated after pace sensation Mayank Yadav received his maiden India call-up for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Saturday, announced as strong 15-member squad for the upcoming series against the Bangladesh team. The squad welcomes two rising stars, Mayank and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who bagged a maiden call-up to the team.
The 22-year-old pace sensation grabbed the headlines during the IPL 2024 after constantly cloaking a speed of 155 kmph before sustaining an injury. He was quite impressive in then cash-rich league as the Delhi cricketer picked seven wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 6.98. Overall in 14 T20 games he has played, Mayank has picked up 19 wickets.
Meanwhile, as soon as the news of the pace sensation getting selected in the India squad for Bangladesh series broke, Indian cricket fans were quite happy and shared their happiness online calling it a much-deserved call-up.

Meanwhile, T20 specialist Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead the side while all-rounder Hardik Pandya has also been included. Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma are the two wicketkeepers in the side and Mumbai Indians player Ishan Kishan, who was another wicketkeeping option for India, has been left out. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been left out and Rishabh Pant has been given rest. India will start the series with the first match at Gwalior on October 6.
