The annual cricketing extravaganza, Madhya Pradesh Cricket League (MPL), which brings new energy to Madhya Pradesh cricket and fills the whole of MP with a new craze for cricket, is starting on June 12, Thursday. All the matches will be held this year at the newly built Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

Tomorrow, the first match of the second edition is to be played between Gwalior Cheetahs and Chambal Gharials. This match is to start at 7:30 pm.

An opening ceremony has also been organised before the start of the match on the first day of the second season, in which WWE’s famous wrestler The Great Khali has been invited as the chief guest.

The opening ceremony has been kept one hour before the start of the match. All tickets for the league matches can be purchased online on the District app. The ticket price has been kept at only Rs 50. Jio Hotstar has the official broadcasting rights of the league matches. The match can be watched live on Star Sports TV and online streaming on JioHotstar.

Mahanaryaman Scindia wishes MPL season 2 luck

Mahanaryaman Scindia, Chairman of the Governing Council of Madhya Pradesh Cricket League, has congratulated the players and members of MPCA, GDCA, MPL and 10 teams of MPL on the start of MPL.

He said: “Our MPL family has become bigger than the last edition, we will achieve bigger success than last year, our aim is to become the best state league in the country, and we will keep working on it. Hearty congratulations to the people of Gwalior and the entire Madhya Pradesh, enjoy the matches to the fullest.”
