New Delhi: Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have come under fire from Paul Scholes, who claims that the Manchester United co-owners have done nothing to support the team in the past 12 months. Ratcliffe assumed leadership of United’s football operations after purchasing a share in the team in January of last year. However, the team has not improved, employees have been let go, and there is no indication that any new players would be added to the team to support manager Ruben Amorim.
Scholes, a legend of United, acknowledges that he cannot recall a single good thing that has occurred under Ratcliffe and INEOS’ direction. Additionally, he accused billionaire Ratcliffe of showing little concern for the long-suffering supporters by criticizing club executives for raising ticket prices.
This is what Scholes had to say
🗣️ Paul Scholes on the ticket price rise:
“£66 for a ticket is ridiculous! If you think of Manchester, there are so many deprived areas and Sir Jim Ratcliffe himself is from Failsworth, again is a deprived area.
You take one kid with you, that’s £120+, if you’ve got a family,… pic.twitter.com/2pZWNFsCy8

Scholes claimed that the INEOS Group has been in control for about a year and that nothing has changed during his appearance on The Overlap Fan Debate, which is presented by Sky Bet. They haven’t done anything good for the team that he can think of.
“Things are getting worse on the football pitch, so couldn’t they have just said that they’d do cheaper tickets? Couldn’t they just give us something positive.” Scholes said.
The United legend attacked the club’s poor performances lately and that the prices of the tickets that the club has asked for is ridiculously high for what’s happening on the pitch, further claiming that the team isn’t doing anything for the fans.
“If we’ve got Sir Jim Ratcliffe, compared to all these American owners, who’s been a United fan since growing up in an area in Manchester – he’s still hiking prices up. It just shows that they don’t care.”
Paul Scholes criticizes Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS for raising Manchester United ticket prices, labeling the decision “ridiculous” and accusing them of bringing no positive changes since their minority takeover.
