New Delhi: Al Ittihad was one of the Saudi Arabian teams that showed last summer that when it came to bringing in European football talents, money was not the main consideration. While Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, Marcelo Gallardo, and other players inked big deals, the club’s previous coach, Marcelo Gallardo, an Argentine, was the highest-paid coach in the league.
Al Ittihad was the least successful of the main Saudi Arabian clubs, despite their financial might. They have therefore completely redesigned their philosophy in advance of the upcoming season. Although they still provide unlimited funds, their transfer targets’ characteristics have altered dramatically. Gallardo has been replaced as head coach by Laurent Blanc, while Houssem Aouar, a former Roma player, has already joined the team.
🚨⚫️🟡 Negotiations between Al Ittihad and Moussa Diaby are at final stages after progress made this week, almost there.
All parties feel the deal will get done with details still being discussed on fee in excess of €55m.

Moussa Diaby had a few amazing seasons with Bayer Leverkusen and he was able to bag a total of 25 goals in three seasons. He was one of the hottest young prospects and decided to join Aston Villa in the 2023-24 season where he had a steady start with 14 goal contributions in the premier league season. Despite having a decent season with the Villains, Diaby confirmed that he was not happy and he agreed a move to Saudi side, Al Ittihad, today itself. Final negotiations will be confirmed later as all parties feel the deal will get done with details still being discussed on fee in excess of €55m.
Furthermore, Moussa Diaby, a 25-year-old winger for Aston Villa, is almost certain to move to Jeddah. The former PSG and Leverkusen midfielder is likely to fetch 70 million euros from Al Ittihad, and Diaby will sign a multi-year deal worth 15 million euros a year. The fact that Diaby was left off of Aston Villa’s team for yesterday’s friendly against Walsall suggests that the transfer is nearing completion.
Moussa Diaby looks set to leave Aston Villa after just one season with the Villains as Al Ittihad and Diaby reach the final stages of negotiations. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
