New Delhi: MS Dhoni celebrated his 43rd birthday on July 7 in Mumbai. Ex-Indian skipper Dhoni has the aura that everyone around the world is fond of. MSD usually celebrates his birthday with his family and the celebrations are far from glittery but this time Bollywood star Salman Khan was present at the cake cutting of Dhoni’s birthday.
Thala played many memorable innings in his career he played 538 matches and scored 17,266 runs in his long career where he won three ICC trophies. Dhoni debuted in 2004 and retired from International cricket in 2019 but continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

1. 91* vs Sri Lanka at Wankhede, World Cup 2011
No one can forget the heroics of Dhoni in the final of ICC World Cup 2011 against Sri Lanka at Wankhede. India were chasing 275 runs to win the final and lost three wickets early on 114/3. MS came on the crease at no. 5 and played an unbeaten knock of 91 runs in 79 balls. Dhoni was out of form in the whole tournament but when it matters the most the Indian skipper was seen leading from the front.

2. 183* vs Sri Lanka at Jaipur
MS Dhoni cemented his place in 2005 in the Indian team before this Sri Lanka series and it was a golden chance for young Dhoni to showcase his talent. Sri Lanka posted a mammoth 298 runs on the flat pitch and also took Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket early on, Dhoni was promoted at no. 3 position and played his best score innings of 183 unbeaten. from the first ball, he was counterattacking the Lankan bowlers and smashed 10 sixes and 15 boundaries in his innings.

3. 148 vs Pakistan at Vishakhapatnam
It was the establishment inning of MS Dhoni’s career, he was dismissed on 0,12,7*,3 in the first four innings of his career. Sourav Ganguly promoted Dhoni at no. 3 for the first time and Dhoni smashed Pakistan’s bowlers all over the park and scored 148 runs in just 123 balls and helped India to post 356/9 in 50 overs.

4. 224 vs Australia at Chennai
Dhoni’s best Test innings came in his IPL franchise home ground Chennai. It was his proper dominance in that inning. Australia batted first and posted 380, In response, India were 196/4, and then Dhoni joined Kohli and played a marathon innings of 224 runs.
