New Delhi: Former Indian star player MS Dhoni welcomed 2025 with a sparkling celebration in Goa along with his family and close friends. The Chennai Super Kings star player was captured by the cameras in an exciting beachside party on December 31, 2024, where the former Indian cricketer’s wife Sakshi was also seen with some friends.
After hanging his boots from international cricket, the former India wicketkeeper-batter, who only plays in the IPL now, is frequently captured enjoying his post-retirement life with his family and friends. Ahead of the New Year party, Dhoni hosted a Christmas party at his residence, where he was seen dressed as Santa Claus. The gathering was attended by close friends and family as many photos of the function were seen online.
Dhoni welcomes 2025 with a bang
In the recent video which has gone viral on social media, Dhoni and his wife Sakshi were spotted dancing together at the party. As per multiple media reports, it is believed that the New Year was held at Goa’s Morjim Beach, where the couple, along with their daughter Ziva and few friends, joined in the festivities. As soon as the short video was viral, netizens started showering the couple, especially Dhoni with love and good wishes.

Another video which went viral on social media site X saw Dhoni lighting a Chinese lantern on New Year’s eve and sending it into the sky as fireworks illuminated the special night. Dhoni’s daughter Ziva was also captured in the video.

Meanwhile, Dhoni would again be seen in action in the IPL 2025 for Chennai Super Kings. After having an average 2024 season, Dhoni would like to make a mark in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league, which is touted be his last. There are reports circulating that he might retire from the IPL as well after this edition. Dhoni was retained by CSK as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore for the upcoming edition.
