New Delhi: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar joined millions across the nation in applauding the Indian armed forces for the successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Indian armed forces targeted terror launchpads across nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 07, in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.
Operation Sindoor was jointly conducted by the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy, targeting specific terrorist infrastructure across the border. As per sources, over 80 terrorists were killed in the precision strikes conducted by the Indian Army, which targeted the launchpads of terrorist organisations like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Reacting to the bold and precise operation by the Indian armed forces, Tendulkar took to X and said there is no room for terrorism in the world. He also hailed India’s unity and praised the armed forces for shielding the country.
“Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength. India’s shield is her people. There’s no room for terrorism in this world. We’re ONE TEAM! Jai Hind,” Tendulkar wrote in a post.

As per reports, Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar’s 10 family members, including his sister and brother-in-law, were killed in the strikes conducted by India in Pakistan’s Bahawalpur. The Suban Allah complex in Bahawalpur was one of the targets as it served as a terror breeding ground and centre of recruitment for the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad.
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, the travel plans of several franchises in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 have taken a hit as over 200 flights have been cancelled across India and multiple airports have been shut temporarily.
