New Delhi: The badminton events at the Paris Olympics 2024 will start from July 27 to August 5 at Porte de La Chapelle Arena in Paris. The Indian badminton squad is looking stronger than ever for the Paris Olympics.
India got a record-breaking seven players competing across different categories. This will be India’s biggest badminton team since it debuted as a competitive sport in the Barcelona Summer Games in 1992.
After clinching a silver and two bronze medals in the last three games, Indian badminton players will look to add a gold medal to their tally. PV Sindhu is set for her third consecutive Olympic appearance. She previously won a silver medal in Rio and a bronze medal in Tokyo Games.
India will have a high hope for a medal from Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as the pair has done well in the Asian Games.

Draw for Indian badminton players
PV Sindhu is placed in Group M along with Kristin Kuuba of Estonia and Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq of the Maldives. HS Prannoy has been drawn in Group K along with Le Duc Phat of Vietnam and Germany’s Fabian Roth in the pool. Lakshya Sen is placed in Group L and will face world No. 3 Jonatan Christie of Indonesia, Kevin Cordon of Guatemala, and Julien Carraggi of Belgium.
Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa were drawn in Group C. They will face Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida, South Korea’s Kim So Yeong and Kong Hee Yong, and Australia’s Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty placed in Group C along with Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel of Germany and French pair of Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar.
