New Delhi: After more than two months of action-packed kabaddi season, it’s time to wrap up the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 with a fiery final match between Haryana Steelers and Patna Pirates at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on December 29, Sunday.
Steelers knocked out UP Yoddhas in the first semi-final and Pirates broke the 15-match unbeaten run of Dabang Delhi to chase their dream of record fourth PKL title. Haryana and Patna have a fiery rivalry in the ongoing season. Both teams met twice in season 11 and Haryana emerged victorious on both occasions.
In the second match between both teams, players and coaches were involved in a heated argument. Haryana were the table topper in the league stage as they just lost six matches out of 22 in PKL season 11.
Pirates star raider Devank is just four points behind in achieving a massive feat of 300 raid points in a single edition of PKL. Ayan also supported well Devank in PKL 11 as he also scored 181 raid points in 24 matches and is in fifth position in the top raiders list.
The Steelers’ defence has been their strength in this ongoing season as Mohammadreza Shadloui has been the leader of the defence pack for his team. Shadloui is in the top spot in the most tackle points as he scored 77 tackle points in 23 matches. Rahul Sethpal also did his job brilliantly as he made 70 tackle points in 23 matches.
