Play, bench or sell: Yuvraj Singh ranks Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni

New Delhi: Social media is flooded with clips of content creators posting videos of Play, bench or Sell quiz. In this game, the player is given thre options and asked to choose who to play, bench or sell. Indian cricket great Yuvraj Singh is the latest to join the trend. During a conversation in a podcast, Yuvraj played Start One, bench one, and sell one between Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Yuvraj played the game with customary flamboyance and cleverly navigated the tough questions.

The iconic batter decided to play Rohit but dealt with the Sell and Bench question expertly.

Yuvraj picks between Dhoni, Rohit and Kohli

Yuvraj is a well-known admirer of Rohit’s captaincy and batting skills. He is also a close friend of the Indian skipper so it’s natural for him to pick Rohit above Dhoni and Kohli. That’s why when it came to choosing between one between Rohit, Kohli, and Dhoni for the ‘play’ option, Yuvraj had no hesitation in taking Rohit’s name.

“As a player, I would go for Rohit Sharma if it’s T20 cricket. He is an outstanding captain and someone who can change the game with his batting for sure, he will be my first choice,” said Yuvraj on Club Prairie Fire podcast.

When he was asked to name the players he would bench and sell, Yuvraj, very cleverly, took his own name, saying if he didn’t want to be in the headlines by choosing between Dhoni and Kohli.

“I would bench myself as naming one between Virat and Dhoni would be in the headlines. I don’t want that to happen. We’re all smart enough, we know who needs to go on the bench but I’m going to stick to Rohit Sharma’s name,” Yuvraj asserted.

Yuvraj has played with all three players and won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup titles under the leadership of Dhoni. While Rohit was part of the T20 WC-winning team, Kohli was the member of the victorious ODI World Cup team in 2011.
