New Delhi: The Men in Blue will face England in the five-match Test series, starting from June 20 at Headingley in Leeds. The Test series will also mark the beginning of the new World Test Championship cycle.
The current WTC cycle will end with the ongoing final between South Africa and Australia at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. After the stunning performance from Mitchell Starc with the bat, the Aussies have set a target of 282 runs for South Africa. The fast bowler scored an unbeaten 58 runs off 136 balls, including five boundaries.
Chasing the target, the Proteas men lost two early wickets as Starc dismissed Ryan Rickelton (6) and Wiaan Mulder (27). But skipper Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram forged a 100-run partnership for the third wicket and helped the team to take control of the match.
