New Delhi: As the Premier League’s Matchday 16 approaches, the league has announced the November award winners a day before the matchday, recognizing the standout performers across various categories. These monthly honors continue to celebrate the best moments and achievements of the season so far. The nominees for the awards were announced earlier in the month and the voting period for the fans finished earlier in the week.
November brought a majorly fresh set of winners with only one of the winners having won the award earlier in the season. The Manager of the month category was very short as only three other managers were competing for the award, with relegation threatened Wolves’ Gary O’Neil also earning a mention. None of the winners from last month could find a place amongst the nominees this time, showing the ever changing nature of the Premier League.

Liverpool’s Dutch manager Arne Slot claimed the Manager of the Month award for November, marking his first win in the Premier League. Slot’s tactical acumen was on full display as Liverpool secured maximum points in the league while maintaining an 100% record throughout the month. This run included wins over Brighton, Aston Villa and Southampton, all of which showcased Liverpool’s resilience and fluid attacking play.
Slot beat out tough competition from Brighton’s Fabian Hürzeler and Wolves’ Gary O’Neil. Hürzeler’s Brighton continued their impressive form, while O’Neil, whose team have been struggling all season, guided Wolves through a tricky run of fixtures, including a vitals win against Southampton and Fulham. However, it was Slot’s consistency and ability to manage big-game pressure that earned him the accolade.

Liverpool’s talisman Mohamed Salah added yet another feather to his cap by winning November’s Player of the Month award. Salah’s November was nothing short of phenomenal, with five of Liverpool’s seven goals coming through Salah’s contribution. His victory for the month of November has now seen him win the award six times during his career and is now only one off the all-time record that is held by Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane.
Salah edged out competition from Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, and Arsenal duo Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka. Brighton’s João Pedro and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa were also among the nominees. Salah’s consistent brilliance and decisive contributions ensured he stood head and shoulders above the rest this month. With four goals in November, the Egyptian was also the month’s highest goal-scorer.

Fulham winger Harry Wilson claimed November’s Goal of the Month award for his sensational flick against Brentford. The former Liverpool winger produced a brilliant effort against their city rivals, which inspired a comeback win for his side. With both goals being scored by the Welshman, the fact that they came in stoppage time, made the victory even sweeter for the Cottagers. With this win, Wilson becomes the first Welsh player to win the accolade.
Wilson’s goal beat out stiff competition from several stunning strikes, including Leif Davis’s volley for Leicester, Mohamed Salah’s brilliant goal against Brighton, and Matheus Cunha’s powerful finishes against Southampton and Fulham, which made him the first person to have three of their goals nominated for the award. Alejandro Garnacho’s long range effort against Leicester and Emerson’s pinpoint free-kick versus Arsenal also made the shortlist. However, Wilson’s goal stood out for its sheer audacity and execution.

Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana claimed his third Save of the Month award for his incredible stop against Ipswich Town. Onana’s reflex save to deny Ipswich while the score was still 0-0 made sure that manager Ruben Amorim didn’t get his Manchester United career off the ground with a defeat. His ability to react quickly and stretch to block the goal-bound effort from Liam Delap underlined his importance to United’s defensive stability.
The competition for this category was fierce, with notable saves from Aaron Ramsdale’s against Everton, Bernd Leno’s stop against Brentford, and Mark Flekken effort against Everton also in contention. Lukasz Fabianski’s brilliant stop against Nottingham Forest and Mads Hermansen’s point-blank save for Leicester rounded out the nominees. Onana’s remarkable consistency and composure in high-pressure situations earned him the top spot once again. With this win, he now has the most save of the months award in the league, with no other player having won three of these awards.
