India aiming to maintain top position in the WTC standings
After defeating Bangladesh in the two-game Test series in Chennai and Kanpur recently, Team India consolidated their top spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) table. The Asian giants have won eight, lost two and drawn one game in 11 Tests in the current WTC cycle. With 98 points to their name, India are primed to reach their third straight WTC final.
But to reach the summit clash of the WTC, India will have to edge past New Zealand across three Tests and then go on to win at least one Test in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar series in Australia, which begins in November in Perth.
