New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin, an engineer besides Indian cricketer, displayed his educational skills to troll former England cricketer Michael Vaughan after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final against England. Vaughan tried to downplay the convincing win of India through some of his analytical posts on social media which brought criticism from former Indian players as well but Ashwin’s response was on the hilarious side.
In one of his posts on the social media platform “X” (formerly Twitter), Vaughan congratulated India writing, “India throughly deserve to be in the final .. The best team in tournament so far .. Was always going to hard for England on this pitch .. India just so much better on lower slower spinning pitches.” The remark of India being better on the “lower slower pitches” brought him under the radar.
Taking to X, Ashwin gave a befitting reply to Vaughan that included a complex mathematical differential equation and concluded it with “Hence, India won.” The reply received praise from the fans for shutting up the ex-English player. The netizens also lauded Ashwin for his immense knowledge on the subject and drew parallels between his engineering background and dissecting the games with his analytical skills.
∫ 1 dx = x + C. ∫ a dx = ax+ C. ∫ xn dx = ((xn+1)/(n+1))+C ; n≠1.
Hence, India won. 🤝 https://t.co/0xGRGCQtu4

India crush England by 68 runs
In a knockout clash that saw too many rain interruptions, India posted 171/7 in their 20 overs on the back of skipper Rohit Sharma’s half-century and decent contributions from Suryakumar Yadav and Indian vice-captain Hardik Pandya. The English run-chase was rattled by the Indian spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel who ran through the English batting line-up, picking up three wickets each.
Harry Brook, top-scored with 25 runs as the Englishmen found it extremely difficult to tackle the Indian bowling attack. They were bundled out at 103/10 in 16.4 overs with support from Jasprit Bumrah’s double strike. India exacted revenge on the Three Lions for what they did in the 2022 T20 World Cup, eliminating them and booking a final with South Africa in a bid to end their 11-year-long ICC title drought.
