Kyiv: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a significant journey to Ukraine on August 23, traveling via the luxurious ‘Train Force One’ after his state visit to Poland.
This train, has been previously used by world leaders such as US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron during their trips to Kyiv. Meanwhile, Train Force One is renowned for its opulent amenities and state-of-the-art facilities. The train features a modern, high-end hotel-like interior, complete with a large conference table, a plush sofa, and a wall-mounted TV. It is equipped with advanced security measures, including armored windows, a secure communication network, and a dedicated team of security personnel.
The train journey to Kyiv will take around 10 hours, after which Prime Minister Modi will spend a brief 7 hours in the Ukrainian capital. The train has special measures for the protection of VVIPs and would provide secure travel in war-torn Ukraine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday embarked on a historic and significant two-nation visit to Poland and Ukraine. The Prime Minister first landed in Poland, from August 21 and then he will head to Kyiv on August 23, the Ministry of External Affairs said on its website. Notably, this will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to Poland after a gap of 45 years.
Meanwhile, PM Modi will be visiting war-torn Ukraine for the first time since Moscow’s invasion of Kyiv. This visit also represents the first time an Indian Prime Minister will visit Ukraine since diplomatic relations were established 30 years ago.
