New Delhi: In the recent years, Railway stocks have been the hot favourite of retail investors. The shares of the companies skyrocketed in during 2023 to mid of 2024. However, following the market correction, the share prices of the stocks came down. The counters have again started to appreciate.

In this article, we will inform you about three Railway stocks – RailTel Corporation of India, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and IRCON. Notably, all three companies are Public Sector Undertakings, which means the firms are controlled and supported by the central government.

Recently, these companies declared their Q4 Results of 2024-25. We compare the financials of RVNL, Railtel, and Ircon so that you have a fair idea of the performance of the companies.

RVNL shares were trading at Rs 412.70 at the time of writing this article on 29th May. Railtel shares were trading at Rs 396.15 apiece and Ircon stock was at Rs 189.35.

RVNL

In its Q4 Results 2024-25, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 459.15 crore, while it stood at Rs 478.56 crore in Q4 of FY24. The Railway PSU’s profit zoomed 47 per cent from Rs 311.44 crore reported in Q3 FY25.

Revenue from operations in Q4 FY25: Rs 426.88 crore. Net profit declined by 4 percent to Rs 459 crore. Revenue and EBITDA dropped by about 4-5 percent. EBITDA margin stood at 6.7 percent.

RailTel

RailTel Corporation of India had a superb Q4 in last fiscal FY25. The company’s net profit increased by 46.3 percent to Rs 113.4 crore, while the total revenue surged by 57 percent to Rs 1,308 crore. EBITDA margin declined to 13.73 percent.

IRCON

IRCON International’s Q4 performance was weak. The company’s revenue fell by 10 percent and net profit by 15 percent. Sales have also declined by 12.7 percent on an annual basis. However, the company has announced a dividend of Rs 1 per share to its shareholders.
