New Delhi: Real Madrid was dealt yet another blow on Friday when midfielder Arda Güler was unable to finish the match against Wales due to a severe tibia blow while on national duty. The Turkish player gave a scare just before the end of the match, in the 89th minute when he asked to come off the pitch.
Earlier this week Los Blancos faced another injury concern as Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy, and Aurelien Tchouamen faced fitness setbacks. Things got worse last night with more players falling prey to the same. Elder Militao left the Brazilian team camp getting ruled out for the next two games while Arda Guler came as another casualty in the game between Wales and Turkey.
After being tackled forcefully by an opponent, the young Ottoman star immediately raised his hand to indicate that something was amiss. He was clearly in pain from the impact. Alarms went up when the ambulance and paramedics arrived on the pitch to tend to him. For the final few minutes, Kahveci was substituted for him on the pitch by Montella. Everyone was relieved when Arda Guler was able to go off on his own but by the end of the match, he was observed to have ice on his calf and a little limp.

The clear picture will only be known after he is examined by the medical staff. Real Madrid side believes that the youngster will most likely be available against Real Sociedad at San Sebastian. The upcoming match holds a special value for Guler as it was the stadium where he started his first game for Los Blancos last year and even scored the winning goal. He will look to make a comeback before that.
Despite having a sluggish start to the season, Guler has become more noticeable in recent games with Jude Bellingham sidelined due to injury. After completing 105 minutes of play so far he has produced two significant opportunities with 1.3 crucial passes per game.
Whether or not he plays in the following game will depend on how his last blow healed. The administration won’t take any chances but Ancelotti is furious about this international break and he has good reason to be as he now has nine players out of commission.
