Rohit Sharma mobbed by selfie-seeking fans at Mumbai airport – WATCH

New Delhi: Enthusiastic fans mobbed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on his return to India after a vacation in the United States. Rohit was enjoying a holiday break with his family after leading India to victory at the T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean. The Mumbai superstar returned home for celebrations and felicitations after the landmark win in the West Indies and then flew to the USA for a vacation with his family.

Upon his return to Mumbai, Rohit was greeted by fans at the airport. The enthusiastic crowd was so eager to catch a glimpse of their hero that they mobbed him, asking for selfies. One fan asked the Hitman: “Sir, ek photo de do na” (Sir, please give me a photo). Rohit obliged and allowed the fans to click selfies before zooming off to his home in a stylish blue car.

Rohit ready for Sri Lanka series after extended break

Rohit will return to competitive cricket at the beginning of the next month when India and Sri Lanka lock horns in a three-match ODI series. Rohit, who guided the team to a historic World Cup title in the Americas last month, is not part of the T20I squad for the Sri Lanka tour.

Rohit. along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, retired from T20I cricket, after India’s T20 World Cup win.

However, Rohit and Kohli will continue to play in the ODI and Test formats. Both players will return to the team for the ODI leg of the Sri Lanka tour, which begins on July 27 with the first of the three T20Is.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20I team while Rohit will captain the ODI side.
